I’m a big fan of photo booths. I’ve dragged many a reluctant friend into one over the years and I’ve kept all the strips, some dating back to middle school. There are so many things I love about them – the spontaneity, the haphazardness and chaos that almost always ensues. The fact that if you want to preserve the strip, you have to take the good with the bad, the pretty with the ugly.
In the spirit of celebrating a new year with a hot mess of glitter and confetti, I setup a New Years Eve themed photo booth using the iPad app, Pocketbooth.
No photo booth is complete without some props and so in addition to human-size top hats, I created cat-size top hats and bow ties for Stanley, Clio and Timmy.
If you aren’t afraid to irk your furry friends, below are templates and instructions to make your own dapper cat props.

Here are just a few of the many outtakes from our little impromptu session. Many of them involve the cats planning their escape 🙂
Special thanks to John, Stanley, Clio and Timmy for being good sports and indulging one my all time favorite things.
Have a wonderful New Years Eve and New Years Day! See you in 2014!
(No cats were harmed in the making of this post. Miffed, but not harmed.)
