Occasionally you come across something so neat and unique you want to let everyone else know about it too. In the spirit of those discoveries, I’m starting a new, infrequent series, Fab Finds, where I’ll share the delightful things I encounter in everyday life.
Today’s find are these vintage-inspired crepe paper candy baskets, sometimes called nut cups. I originally found them at Cone & Steiner, a general store in the Seattle neighborhood of Capitol Hill. After a little digging online, I also found several listings for them on Etsy. They come in a variety of colors and themes and would be a sweet addition to any occasion. From what the interwebs tell me, they were a common party occurrence in the 1950s. With their delicate crepe paper, twisted handle and sweet fillings, there’s no wonder they were popular then and with any luck we’ll start seeing more of them now.
