A while back I learned of the Met Museum’s online collection of more than 400,000 images but it wasn’t until recently that I found time to dig in and uncover some cool inspiration.
This week instead of the usual link recap, I thought it would be fun to share some of the great images I discovered. I love this group of 20th century, French drawings with their roaring 20s / art nouveau vibe. Taking inspiration from the tiger, I created the poster you see above. I used a Dream and Do color palette and the free font, Snowstreet, to give it a more contemporary feel. While I love the original it was fun to play and see what else could be done with the bold lines and subject. Roar!
