With Thanksgiving just a few days away, these wise words from Maya Angelou seemed all too fitting. A simple reflection but one that often proves hard to follow. We get so caught up in our to do lists, office politics and other momentary distractions that we can easily forget to be present in the moment and also thankful in the moment.
My guy and I have a tradition of celebrating a low key Thanksgiving. So while we won’t be surrounded by throngs of family and friends, I will do my part to enjoy and be grateful for our time together before the holiday frenzy starts.
Here’s to moist turkey, happy family and a pledge to stop, breath and take in all things Thanksgiving.
