Many wishes to you and yours on this day!
I hope your day is spent with the ones you love and that you are able to enjoy a well-deserved respite from the daily grind. For my part, I am spending Christmas with my guy’s family on the East Coast but I’ll be thinking of my mother who is among extended family in the Midwest.
Earlier this month, my guy and I set up our first live Christmas tree together. To capture the moment, we shot a time lapse as he strung the lights and I hung ornaments. One image was taken for every minute and by the end we had 276 images or over 4 1/2 hours of tree trimming action! Don’t fear – the video is less than a minute! 🙂
I never expected that decorating a tree would take so long but it was definitely worth it. From the wonderful aroma of the Noble Fir to the warm glow of the lights, it’s been a delightful addition to our home. Most especially, I have enjoyed seeing so many of the ornaments I’ve collected over the years. It’s always a gamble putting delicate ornaments on a tree that a cat may decide to pounce upon but the risk sure beats keeping them packed away and out of sight. I am sad to report that one robot ornament was lost due to clumsy hands (mine) but fortunately no ornaments were injured by mischievous paws!
Here’s to enjoying our trees and decor today and for the few remaining days to follow! Have a wonderful day!
