What are you doing on the day after Christmas? I must confess a guilty pleasure – I’m scouting out deals on Hallmark ornaments. For years I collected pop culture ornaments including Batman, Fisher Price and Strawberry Shortcake. It reminded me of my childhood and the inner-collector in me wanted a complete set. You can imagine, though, that it got a little out of hand (of my 1,000+ ornaments, at least a few hundred are Hallmark). This year I was good. I didn’t buy a single one (due in no small part to my local Hallmark closing). But today, I will indulge in the yearly ritual of Christmas sales. My shopping will at least tempered by how much I can carry in my luggage, which isn’t much.
Whether you’ll be joining the deal-seeking crowds or taking it easy at home among loved ones, I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend to follow. Here are a few of my favorite finds for the week to help fill a few free minutes in your day.
