Well hello there! Hopefully you’re riding on a little residual sunshine from the weekend (real or figurative). This weekend I enjoyed the good weather with a nice long walk in the neighborhood and catching up with a lovely friend over brunch.
The past two days also turned out to be rather productive, but not in the way I intended. I have a bad habit of getting stuff done that’s not necessarily the right stuff. It still feels good though, to get stuff done, so I’ll cut myself some slack.
Today’s quote is to remember that it is ride, not the destination, that matters most. Such true and wise words, yet ones that I forget time and again. Rather than think of it as one big journey, lets think of it as small ones. For me it’s this blog and remembering to enjoy the time I have to be creative and make things—one cut, one stitch or one stroke at a time. For you it may be baking a layered cake, reading a juicy book, or taking a long, winding hike. One ingredient, one page, and one step at a time, let’s all make an effort to enjoy the journey and all it has to give and teach us along the way.
Have a beautiful week!
