Happy Friday! Can you believe it’s December already?!
I was so excited to start my advent calendar yesterday. I brought it all the way from London. I’ve been looking at it every day for the past month with mounting anticipation of tearing into the first day. And yesterday that day arrived. I honed in on the the perforated door for Day 1, tore that sucker open, and began salivating at the promise of delicious German chocolate. But it wasn’t chocolate waiting to be devoured. It was marzipan. Disgusting, almond muck. Needless to say my heart and soul were crushed. My guy, on the other hand, is thrilled because he’s got 25 days of marzipan all for himself. One woman’s muck is another man’s delight. Sigh.
While I work on mending my crushed heart, here are some of my favorite finds of the week. Enjoy!
Fantastical art by Oregonian, Deedee Cheriel, inspired by punk rock, the Pacific Northwest, and East Indian temple imagery.
Mesmerizing underwater art by Kim Keever.
Pining for these whimsical felt sculptures by Cat Rabbit.
Magical, illuminated paper dioramas.
The Fondoodler, a cheese glue gun. Uh, what?!
Just in time for holiday shopping, a great list of small businesses trying to do things the right way.
My mouth is watering over the June Intelligent Oven.
