Happy Monday, Happy President’s Day, and Happy 285th and 208th Birthdays to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, respectively!
I’m thrilled to have the day off to catch up on blog-related endeavors and the inescapable chore or two before I head off to Pittsburgh for a work trip. It’ll be my first visit there and I’m hoping to squeeze in a site or two. Top of my list is the botanical garden, aviary, and Wildcard stationery store.
As for today and the heavy weight it bears for many of us, I will say that it was not until our 44th president, Barack Obama, that I began paying attention to our government, our politics, and what it means to be a proud and participating American citizen. He is the first politician in my lifetime who made me care and for that I am grateful.
Whether you’re spending today at home, at work, or expressing your American voice, be safe and be well.
