Happy Monday!
This past weekend I spent time listening to Aretha Franklin, as I imagine many of us did. Unfortunately, and again, as many of us are, I was reminded all too late of a legend walking among us. I have always been a fan, but not a great fan. This weekend’s exploration revealed to me so much more of Franklin’s work, life, and impact than I ever knew.
Among the countless reasons to respect, admire, and be endeared by Franklin is her confidence. This quote is something I need to learn for myself, my art, and for the years I have left.
